= What is the main mission of this bespoke tailoring project?
As you are aware, there is a shortage of good coat makers and trouser makers. This is exacerbated by the lack of young people entering the tailoring industry.  It was felt that bespoke tailoring was a diminishing industry facing an uncertain future.  Hence the workshop was set up in Yinzhou, Ningbo.
= What is the difference in workmanship between a handcrafted Savile Row bespoke suit and made to measure?
Bespoke suits are hand crafted using approximately 5000 individual stitches. We use a floating canvas that has been pad stitched by hand. All our garments are hand finished. For details, please click here.

Made to measure suits are machine sewn and use a 'bonding' technique for the canvas application and are machine finished.
= Are there any samples available to inspect?

= How long will it take for me to receive the finished garment?
It will take up to 3 weeks, from despatch of order to receipt of finished garment, straight to finish. However, extra time must be allowed for fittings. Bear in mind that:
- DHL or UPS delivery time from China to the UK is within 3 days.

 - DHL or UPS delivery time from the UK to China is within 3 days.
= What is the procedure for getting orders?
- The garments are cut by Savile Row tailors in Savile Row before being sent for sewing to the workshop. Savile Row Quality Bespoke Tailoring Workshop has its own order forms and alteration sheet in English. When you have completed the form, send it with any necessary trimmings (and cloth, if appropriate) to us. We will check it before despatch to the workshop. This minimises the likelihood of errors, which are both costly and time consuming to correct.

- The finished garment is inspected by the professional bespoke tailoring quality controllers and Savile Row tailors before sending it back to the client.

Savile Row Quality Bespoke Tailoring Workshop endeavours to maintain high quality control in our workmanship. To do so, we often arrange skills exchange programmes between well respected Savile Row master tailors and our own tailors in China.
