Bespoke
means hand crafted and individually made with approximately 5000 individual
stitches. Bespoke tailoring entails the personal attention of a cutter
who measures the customer, creates and cuts a pattern, and directly
supervises the making and fitting of the garment. We also use English
finest fabrics and trimmings.
To be a tailor, it takes around 6 months to able to use a needle and thimble adequately. The craft is very involved. A tailor will spend more than 5 years learning how to sew. If he/she goes on to do cutting, which is a very skilled job, it will need a further 3 years of training. To be a professional tailor, you will need a love of the job, dexterity (easy use of hands), good customer relationship, to solve problems of garments and commitment (work in weekends). We have engaged the well-respected Savile Row tailors as our official training consultants to our workshop in China. Our Master Tailor has also been working with a leading Savile Row company for over 8 years. Sometimes they also come to the UK to learn and upgrade their skills. Our work is to Savile Row standards, with floating canvas, hand felled front linings, hand holes and horn buttons. Our trousers have hand fly, hand bands and curtains, hand side straps. These are standard, but we can readily adapt to your requirements. We also have a professional quality control tailoring team in the workshop.
